Serve as camp staff
Every summer our volunteer staff gives a week (or more) of their time to pour into the lives of campers. From cabin counselors to kitchen crew — there's a place for you.

Staff roles
Where do you fit?
There are all kinds of ways to serve at Camp Joy. Here are some of the roles we fill each summer.
Cabin counselor
Live in the cabin with campers, lead Bible study, and build one-on-one relationships throughout the week.
Activities staff
Run and lead camp activities — sports, games, swimming, and anything else that keeps campers moving and laughing.
Grounds keepers
Keep the Camp Joy grounds in great shape through general upkeep and maintenance so everything runs smoothly for campers and staff.
Media team
Capture the week through photos and video so campers and families can relive the memories long after camp ends.
Kitchen crew
Help prepare and serve meals for 200–300 campers and staff every day. A behind-the-scenes role that makes everything run.
General support
There are always extra hands needed. If you're willing to serve, we'll find the right spot for you.
Requirements
What we look for in staff
A genuine love for God and a desire to make Him known to kids
Willingness to volunteer your time — all staff serve without pay
Completion of a staff interview and training session before camp
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to become certified)
A positive, servant-hearted attitude that puts campers first
